I wrote this book from my son’s perspective to help him and other children that are too young to fully grasp the meaning of death. I hope this book helps children cope with all emotions associated with the loss of a loved one. As a mother, I encourage all parents or guardians to talk to their children about death and loss. Loss as it relates to death is difficult to understand as an adult, so it is even more confusing as a child. In this book, Chase has to accept the unexpected reality that he will never see or physically hold his little sister. He soon understands that although she is gone, he can still love her, talk about her and keep all of the happy memories in his heart.
